Overview

 

SUMMARY:

 

The Pneumatic/Electronic Controls Technician performs maintenance testing, and repairs on all electronic, electrical, and pneumatic control systems as related to refrigeration and HVAC systems.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Install, maintain, repair, adjust and clean all HVAC and associated equipment and systems. • Must be well versed in the use of many and varied types of test equipment such as volt-meters, ammeters, amprobes, psychrometers, capacitor analyzer temperature testers, leak detectors, micrometer, CO2 testers, vacuum gauges, meggers and must possess outstanding eye-hand coordination.• Inspects completed work for conformance to standards.• Possess excellent organizational and troubleshooting skills.• Keep daily logs and records of all maintenance functions.• Diagnose electrical and mechanical faults with HVAC systems.NON-ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Other work-related duties as assigned.

 

QUALIFICATIONS – EXPERIENCE EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS:

• Must have a minimum of six (6) years’ experience working in the Commercial Facilities/ Operation and Maintenance Arena.• MD, VA, or DC 3rd Class License and/or Journeyman Refrigeration License is required.• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance• Active Secret or Top Secret clearance preferred.• Maximo CMMS Experience a plus, but not required.• Microsoft Computer skills (Office, Word, Outlook etc.) a plus but not required.

 

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

Thorough knowledge of the operation, maintenance, and repair of all HVAC systems and contols in the building.Physical Requirements: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

 

This position requires the ability to maneuver around the building site; see, hear and verbally communicate with co-workers and clients. Performance of essential and ancillary functions requires maintenance of physical conditioning adequate for sitting, walking or standing, lifting, pushing, pulling, twisting, throwing, reaching, squatting, stretching, bending for prolonged periods of time; at time lift and carry up to as much as 50 pounds, near visual acuity to review written documentation; ability to hear and understand speech with background noise.

 

In performing the required work, it is required to have the ability to climb ladders and scaffolding, do a lot of walking, use every kind of hand tool, work in hazardous positions, carry heavy tools

ADDITIONAL QUALIFYING FACTORS:

 

This position is subject to the terms and conditions of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between Tatitlek Technologies, Inc. and the International Union of Operating Engineers, Local 99-99A, AFL-CIO.

 

As a condition of employment, must pass a pre-employment drug screening, as well as have acceptable reference and background check results.
