About this role

Description

  • Coordinating the preparation and modification of forecasts and budgets at the project level(s)
  • Performing various analyses such as sales outlook, funding profiles and variance analysis to support corporate, divisional and project activities
  • Establishing contract parameters and project setup in control system
  • Preparing reports and analyses in order to ensure that contracts are within agreed-upon parameters and government cost control guidelines
  • Ensuring adequate funding availability by utilizing/establishing a monitoring and communications process
  • Incorporating contractual changes into control systems by staying aware of outstanding work against each contract in order to maintain realistic contract cost and milestone baselines
  • Scheduling and performing risk assessments to identify and mitigate program cost and milestone risks
  • Performing miscellaneous analyses and reconciliations
  • Performing analysis on unbilled AR, AP, and WIP accounts at the project level
  • Supporting compliance and financial/analytical audits through analysis, explanations and document gathering
  • Performing other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Requirements

  • This job requires a minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline and three to five years of work related experience or a master’s degree in a relevant technical discipline and two or more years work related experience
  • Performing work in this job’s occupational field requires the application of moderately complex, technical professional disciplines and the extensive, applied use of related concepts, practices, and methods
  • A thorough knowledge of the forecast/budget cycle
  • Past participation in or exposure to internal controls documentation and testing
  • High level of communication
