About this role

Description

  • Conducting thorough visual and instrumented inspections of raw materials, in-process items, and finished products to verify adherence to quality standards and specification requirements
  • Executing testing, sorting, sampling, and weighing activities to validate product consistency and operational performance
  • Maintaining accurate and detailed logs of inspection results and quality metrics to support audit readiness and continuous improvement efforts
  • Communicating findings and working with quality assurance teams to recommend and implement corrective actions to address quality discrepancies
  • Assisting in the development and refinement of standard operating procedures for inspection and testing processes to enhance overall production quality

Requirements

  • Five or more years of experience in an inspector, tester, sorter, sampler, or weigher role
  • One or more years of experience must be with communication systems, networks, or technologies
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field
  • Demonstrated proficiency in executing detailed inspection, testing, sorting, sampling, and weighing procedures in accordance with contractual and DoD requirements
  • Proficient in utilizing precision measurement tools and instruments, such as digital micrometers, calipers, gauges, and scales, to verify material and product compliance with defined specifications
  • Skilled in documenting quality control data and maintaining meticulous records to support process validation and regulatory compliance
  • Possess an active DoD Secret security clearance

Desired Skills

  • Familiarity with quality management systems and industrial statistical process control to support continuous improvement initiatives
  • Proficient in using computer-based data recording systems and software to enhance efficiency in quality tracking and reporting
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within cross-functional teams to troubleshoot defects and streamline inspection processes
  • Strong communication skills to effectively convey quality findings and coordinate corrective actions with production and engineering teams
