Overview

Position Overview

The Human Resources Compliance Specialist is responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies as well as federal, state and local ordinance requirements and state filings. This role focuses on monitoring and reporting compliance metrics, conducting internal audits, and analyzing data to identify and address compliance gaps.  The HR Compliance Specialist will manage and maintain documentation, support third-party and government reviews, and assist with department initiatives and projects.  By implementing effective systems and procedures, the HR Compliance Specialist plays a critical role in fostering a culture of accountability, ensuring regulatory adherence, and supporting the company’s overall goals.

Responsibilities and Qualifications

Key Responsibilities Monitoring & Reporting
  • Track and interpret laws or regulations impacting the business and provide guidance to functional managers to support compliance
  • Conduct periodic tests and audits of organizational operations and analyze data and reports to identify compliance gaps related to operational processes
  • Perform periodic audits on projects to ensure compliance
  • Conduct initial reviews of alleged compliance violations and escalate to executive leadership as needed
  • Lead federal and state filings, including but not limited to EEOC and California Pay Data reporting
  Data Management & Documentation
  • Maintain and prepare files, records, documents, and reports as requested
  • Compile information requested for exams, audits, and testing
  • Prepare compliance audit data by compiling and analyzing internal and external information
  Administrative & Project Support
  • Provide administrative support through implementation of systems, policies, and procedures
  • Assist with department initiatives, due diligence efforts, and other projects as assigned
  Additional Responsibilities & Miscellaneous
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support Human Resources and corporate objectives
   Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
  • Bilingual in English and Spanish (required)
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and confidentiality
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
  • Strong technical skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel
  • Familiarity with HRIS systems and software; Ceridian Dayforce experience a plus
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and independently
  • Strong attention to detail with the ability to identify potential compliance issues

Compensation and Benefits

Reports ToDirector of HR Compliance   CompensationThe listed pay range reflects the expected base rate for this position. Within the range, individual pay may vary based on experience, qualifications, and work location within state. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
  • Base: $33.04 - $40.64 per hour
  • Bonus: 10% Target Bonus
  • Total Compensation (Base + Bonus): The successful candidate could reasonably expect a Total Compensation Package in the range of $73,539 - $90,442
  • Equity: This role is not eligible for equity opportunities, awards or grants
