Raw Materials QA
Humdinger, Sherburn in Elmet, LS25 6PJ
Position type: Permanent, Full-time
Hours: 37.5
Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 16:30
Pay range: £25,487 /annum
Breaks: 30 minutes

Responsibilities
- Support daily intake of raw materials, ensuring timely assessment and release from quality hold
- Monitor held stock and prioritise efficient clearance
- Carry out quality checks and testing (e.g. size, shelf life, viscosity, weight, and micro-sampling) to ensure materials meet required standards
- Complete routine sampling to support food safety and due diligence requirements
- Review results against specifications and escalate any non-conformances
- Work closely with Operations and Technical teams to resolve quality issues
- Assist with laboratory testing and continuous quality improvements
- Maintain procedures and ensure compliance with food safety and warehouse standards
- Support internal audits and ensure adherence to customer and regulatory requirements
Qualifications

- Prior experience in a quality role within a fast-paced FMCG (Fast-Moving Consumer Goods) environment
- Strong proficiency in English and Mathematics
- Knowledge of pest control, supported by relevant training
- Solid understanding of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice) standards
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to perform effectively under pressure
Desirable:
- Level 3 HACCP certification
- Level 3 Food Hygiene qualification
- Training in Segregation and Integrity
- Experience with COP (Code of Practice) reviews
- Proven track record in complaints reduction
