Engineering Technician

Position Summary
The Engineering Technician will play a key role in bridging design and production by translating 3D engineering models into clear, accurate, and detailed work instructions for manufacturing teams. This role requires strong technical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex engineering data in a clear and practical format for production personnel.

Key Responsibilities

• Review 3D CAD models and engineering drawings to develop accurate manufacturing work instructions per manufacturing engineering specifications.

• Collaborate with design, Safety, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure instructions reflect current processes and standards.

• Identify and document assembly sequences, tooling requirements, and quality checkpoints.

• Assist in updating and maintaining documentation for engineering changes and process improvements.

• Support the development of standard operating procedures (SOPs)/work instructions/Method drawings for fabrication and assembly operations.

• Ensure all documentation aligns with XNRGY’s quality and safety standards.

• Provide feedback to engineers on potential design-for-manufacturing improvements based on Lean Manufacturing best practices.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (Bachelor’s degree preferred).

• 2+ years of experience in an engineering, manufacturing, or technical documentation role.

• Proficiency in reading and interpreting 3D models and engineering drawings (SolidWorks experience a plus). Also add AutoCAD & AutoDesk Inventor

• Strong technical writing and documentation skills.

• Familiarity with manufacturing processes such as sheet metal fabrication, welding, assembly, and testing.

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

• Ability to collaborate across departments in a fast-paced production environment.
