Come work as a Breast Plastic Surgeon with Vancouver Coastal Health (VCH)!

The UBC Division of Plastic Surgery is accepting applications for a full-time permanent position in breast reconstruction. Applicants must have subspecialty fellowship training in breast reconstruction, including microsurgical reconstruction.ย  The successful candidate will be expected to cover full time general plastic surgery call within the division. Training and/or experience in lymphedema surgery will be an asset.ย  Applicants must be certified in Plastic Surgery by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons (Canada), and be eligible for licensure by the BC College of Physicians and Surgeons.ย  The successful applicant must qualify for an UBC clinical appointment and will be expected to be involved in teaching at all levels.ย  Available resources include access to the main Operating Room, Minor Treatment Room, and a hospital based hand clinic.ย

  • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS) โ€“ Mandatory
  • Current College of Physicians of BC (CPSBC) - Full
  • Canadian College of Family Practitioners (CCFP) โ€“ Mandatory
  • Emergency Experience โ€“ Mandatory
  • Canadian Medical Protective Association (CMPA) - Mandatory
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Physicians of Canada (FRCPC) - Mandatory
  • Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) โ€“ Mandatory
  • Surgical Skills - Mandatory
