Product Manager, Cybersecurity
About this role
Company Overview
Cybersecurity Product Manager – Managed Security Services
Location: [Remote / Hybrid]
Type: Full‑time
We’re looking for a Cybersecurity Product Manager to help define, evolve, and scale our managed security offerings — including MDR, SOC services, endpoint security, vulnerability management, and Zero Trust–aligned solutions.
This role is ideal for a product manager who has worked close to cybersecurity operations and wants to own outcomes across customer value, service delivery, and go‑to‑market execution.
Responsibilities
Product Ownership & Strategy
- Own the product roadmap for managed cybersecurity services (e.g., MDR, SOC services, endpoint security, vulnerability management)
- Translate customer, market, and operational insights into prioritized product initiatives
- Balance scalability, security efficacy, and cost‑to‑deliver when making product decisions
Customer & Market Insight
- Engage directly with customers and internal teams to understand pain points across the full lifecycle (pre‑sales → onboarding → run → expansion)
- Monitor competitive dynamics, mid‑market trends, and compliance drivers to ensure strong product‑market fit
GTM & Revenue Enablement
- Partner with Sales and Marketing to support product positioning, value propositions, and sales enablement
- Contribute to outcome‑based narratives and product differentiation for customer conversations
- Support key deals by providing product expertise and security context
Service & Operational Alignment
- Work closely with SOC, Security Operations, and Delivery teams to align:
- Service scope and boundaries
- SLAs, KPIs, and onboarding workflows
- Partner with Finance and Customer Success to support retention, expansion, and scalable delivery
Technical Collaboration (Product‑Level, Not Engineering)
- Collaborate with security engineers, SOC leaders, and vendors on:
- Tool evaluations and product integrations
- Proofs of concept and capability assessments
- Enhancements to detection, response, and automation workflows
- Stay current on emerging security capabilities (MDR/XDR, automation, cloud security, AI‑driven detection)
Qualifications
What We’re Looking For (Must‑Have)
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering / Computer Science or a related subject
- Experience owning or helping own cybersecurity products or managed security services
- Background working closely with security operations, SOC, MDR/XDR, or incident response teams
- Product management experience including roadmap ownership and cross‑functional delivery
- Ability to translate technical security concepts into product decisions and business value
- Familiarity with U.S. mid‑market security buyers, constraints, and buying patterns
Nice to Have (Not Required)
- Master's Degree MBA, engineering, or Information Systems Preferred
- Experience in an MSSP, MDR provider, or SOCaaS environment
- Exposure to endpoint security, Zero Trust concepts, vulnerability management, or cloud security
- Experience supporting GTM activities (sales enablement, positioning, competitive insights)
- Familiarity with common security frameworks or compliance drivers (e.g., NIST, HIPAA, PCI)
How to Think About “Hands‑On”
This role is hands‑on at the product and service level — evaluating tools, shaping workflows, validating capabilities, and partnering deeply with security teams.
It does not require performing day‑to‑day SOC analyst or incident responder duties.
Why This Role
- High‑impact ownership of customer‑facing security services
- Direct collaboration with security practitioners, product leaders, and go‑to‑market teams
- Opportunity to shape how security outcomes are delivered at scale
