Responsibilities

The Drug Screen Technician is responsible for ensuring clients’ drug tests are conducted in a respectful, dignified, and confidential manner; and the specimens are secured; and documentation is accomplished on time according to instructions and HCA standards. 

 

  • Collect and process patient specimens for drug, alcohol and DNA tests. 
  • Collecting urine specimens from donors at our local collection facility and at customer locations. 
  • Treat all clients in a caring, courteous and professional manner. 
  • Observed and unobserved urine collections required. 
  • Adhere to all relevant state/federal regulations, and company policies & procedures. 
  • Stay current in the drug & alcohol testing industry through ongoing training. 
  • Processing instant tests and/or preparing specimens for transport to the laboratory for testing via courier service or overnight delivery. 

Qualifications

  • A minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent is required for this role.
