About this role
Overview
Through direct customer contact and in co-relation with the Sales Department, receive, process, schedule, follow-up and invoice customer orders including transportation scheduling and associated documentation preparation.
Handle customer concerns or complaints and implement corrective actions where required.
This role will be full time office based, located in Mumbai
Responsibilities
- Order processing: scheduling, processing and follow-up, tracking, tracing and documentation; complete and accurate invoicing
- Telecommunication – maintain proactive contact with customers regarding order status and availability. Relationship-building based on quality service and trust
- Problem –solving – react quickly and efficiently to issues arising and work towards solving them in a cost effective and customer friendly manner
- Documentation and letter of credit handling – correctly assess documentation and other requirements in relation to international shipments and ensure that conditions are met to ensure smooth and timely remittance of the documents for payment
- Invoicing – audit all invoicing data to ensure that complete and accurate invoices are raised. Stay aware of VAT, customs and regulatory rules and apply them where appropriate
- Miscellaneous duties and activities - including proper maintenance of filing systems and paper flow systems, administration, master data maintenance, back-up responsibilities
- Contribute to the action plans to maintain the ISO 9001 Quality Standards
Qualifications
- BS degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- End-to-end order processing experience in SAP is mandatory.
- Knowledge of international freight, Incoterms, customs processes, and shipping documentation.
- Ability to engage internal stakeholders to provide solutions to customer concerns.
- Strong coordination and follow-up abilities across time zones.
- Diplomatic and with a high degree of empathy
- Service minded and customer focused
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- Able to think through problems logically and resolve them quickly
- Able to focus on details
- Able to set priorities, work to close deadlines and function effectively with those
- Demonstrate flexibility and able to cope with multiple tasks and work interruptions

LANGUAGE REQUIREMENTS:
Fluent English essential and any additional language is a strong asset.
