Quality Inspector (CMM) 

 

LAUNCH Technical Workforce Solutions is seeking Inspector for an opportunity in Wichita, KS.

 

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

 

Level B1. Use and interpret drawings, inspection manuals and specifications, shop mathematics precision measuring instruments, specialized inspection machines, tools and equipment necessary to accomplish work assignments.2. Experience working with Quality Management System Policies andProcedures3. Working knowledge of Company Policies, Procedures and Specifications4. Overall working knowledge of production processes5. Contact other company organizations or customer representatives, as required to coordinate, and accomplish work assignments.6. Good communication skills – written and verbal7. Good computing skills8. Operate testing machines, calculate and record results9. Maintain certifications as required10. Plan own sequence of operations11. Follow Inspection (shop) procedures to accept or reject processes/parts/assemblies12. Verify that tools are qualified13. Prepare and maintain Quality records14. Work across equivalent or lower-level Inspector job codes asrequired15. Cross-train in equivalent level Assembly, Composite, Metals, Process and Systems/Payload Structures Mechanic classifications.

Qualifications and requirements:

There are 8 inspectors needed on 1st shift and 7 on 2nd shift.

If candidates are not willing to work either shift, do not submit them. Candidates MUST BE ABLE TO WORK EITHER 1ST or 2ND SHIFT.

 

5+ years of experience   (A&P license is not a requirement)

Blueprint required.

 

  • Must be flexible and able to work independently.
  • Must be willing to perform other functions and duties as assigned by managers and supervisors.
  • Must be willing to work any shift.
  • Must be willing to work overtime (as requested).
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Must have reliable transportation to and from the job site.
  • Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.
  • Must be available to work any shift
  • Standard M-F, but could work OT and weekends
  • Must be familiar with Aviation Manufacturing practices
  • Must be comfortable using measurement tools and reviewing Re-Drawings.
  • Positions will be in Assembly and FAI.  Prefers candidates with experience in both arenas
