Overview

Nakupuna Solutions is looking for a Monitoring and Evaluation Advisor to support a Department of State client.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize quantitative and qualitative techniques for analyzing and evaluating complex mission oriented programs and projects.
  • Develop project and program plans, goals, and milestones involving complex programs, systems, or issues critical to an entire organization.
  • Assess project progress, conduct briefings, and prepare comprehensive reports with solutions and recommendations for top-level managers and executives.
  • Utilize expert knowledge of political science, international relations, security policy, economics, history, geography, or other related disciplines in order to analyze and evaluate factors and conditions involved in the development and implementation of U.S. foreign policy and/or foreign assistance specific to one or more countries.
  • Demonstrate and utilize mastery of one or more geographic or functional specialty areas to provide expert advice and guidance regarding the policy implications of issues/programs and developments in an assigned specialty area.

Qualifications

Skills/Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of Department of State goals, objectives, programs, and relationships to provide expert analytical and advisory services that are responsive to the specialized needs of the organizations supported.
  • Experience working within the U.S. interagency, such as the Departments of Justice, Homeland Security, Defense, or USAID.
  • Ability to build, collaborate within, and lead teams.
  • Ability to provide advice, guidance, and consultation to officials with regard to the interpretation and application of analyses.
  • Ability to establish liaison at all levels throughout the foreign policy and intelligence communities to exchange information vital to both spheres of operation.
  • Self-motivated and self-monitoring, exceptional oral and written communications, and ability to multi-task. 
  • Highly proficient in SharePoint and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.  
  • Experience with SalesForce.
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred.

Location: Harry S. Truman building, Washington D.C.

 

Education and Experience: This position requires a bachelor’s degree and three-to-five years of experience in areas like those in the job duties OR a master’s degree and two-to-five years of similar experience.

 

Clearance Requirements: This position requires an active Secret security clearance. Must be a U.S. Citizen.

 

Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:

  • Ability to perform repetitive motions with the hands, wrists, and fingers.
  • Ability to engage in and follow audible communications in emergency situations.
  • Ability to sit for prolonged periods at a desk and working on a computer.

The Nakupuna Companies use a market-based compensation strategy to ensure that our employees are compensated within applicable market rates commensurate with multiple factors, including but not limited to the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, and position location. The projected compensation rate for this position is $100,000 - $140,000 annually. The salary range displayed represents the typical rate for this position and is just one component of Nakupuna Companies total compensation package for employees
