About the role 

 

We are looking for a Data Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining data platform solutions, supporting data pipelines, and ensuring reliable service delivery.

 

You will work closely with other engineers, analysts, and product teams to design, build, test, and optimise scalable data solutions. You will also have the opportunity to grow your technical expertise while contributing to engineering best practices within the team.

Responsibilities

 

  • Develop and maintain data pipelines and data platform componentsSupport testing, monitoring, and troubleshooting of data solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams within delivery squads
  • Contribute to data engineering best practices, code reviews, and documentation
  • Assist in improving data quality, reliability, and platform performance
  • Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Keep up to date with modern data engineering tools, technologies, and industry trends
  • Provide support in analysing and resolving development and service issues

What you'll bring

  • Solid engineering background and experience in developing and maintaining data processing systems
  • Good understanding of data modelling principles, data quality assurance, and testing methodologies
  • Hands-on experience with Python, SQL, and PySpark
  • Experience with Azure Databricks and DBT for developing data pipelines and workflows
  • Experience working with cloud data solutions on Azure or GCP
  • Understanding of software development lifecycle and data engineering best practices
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies and working within Agile delivery frameworks
  • Good command of English (written and spoken)
