About the Role

We are hiring a Lead Instructor to support the opening and ongoing success of a luxury social wellness club in New York City, as our Flagship to Arketa-powered studio owners.

What success looks like

We believe in setting our team up to thrive.

First 30 days, Build the foundation: You'll work 1:1 with our CEO to build two opening formats: sculpt and strength and learning Arketa's platform inside and out. You’ll recruit and hire instructors to bring this vision to life.

30–90 days - Build the business: Once the studio is live, the focus shifts to cultivating the community and demonstrating excellence as an instructor. You are continuously iterating and calibrating, laying the groundwork for a thriving studio community.

You will play a critical role in building the foundation of the class experience. Our customers may visit our Flagship and you’ll be the go-to-expert on managing a studio through our state of the art tech.

What You’ll Do

• Partner closely with our CEO building two opening fitness formats

• Anchoring the early class schedule and driving first-mover memberships

• Acting as a culture-setter and face of the studio

• Recruit, hire and train additional instructors through your network

• Building community through your existing following and Arketa's platform

• Ensure every interaction reflects brand values and consistency

• Teach full-time at our Flagship

• Collaborate with our Partnerships manager for organizing and hosting community and customer events

Who You Are

• 4+ years as a sculpt, mat Pilates or strength-based instructor

• You’ve taught other instructors modalities

• Thrive in ambiguity

• Culture driver & carrier: you pride yourself as the extension of the studio and modality

• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and execution-focused

• Strong communicator who is warm, direct, and practical

• NYC-based and excited to be onsite and hands-on with this as their full-time teaching role

Bonus

• You’ve taught strength/functional, barre and yoga + sculpt hybrid modalities

For this role, the estimated annual base salary range is $85,000 - $110,000 USD, depending on experience and qualifications. We believe in compensating fairly and transparently, and we’re happy to provide more detail during the interview process.
