Marshalltown Hospital is seeking a Paramedic to join our Ambulance team. In this role, you’ll provide advanced prehospital care, respond to a variety of patient needs, and support patients and families during critical moments.

Responsibilities
- Provide advanced life support and prehospital care within established EMS guidelines
- Assess patient needs and adjust care based on condition, setting, and response
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, providers, and care team members
- Complete timely and accurate documentation of patient care
- Safely transport patients, including those requiring behavioral health support
- Maintain ambulance and secure car readiness through routine checks and restocking
- Clean, prepare, and organize vehicles and equipment for emergency response
- Support hospital-based care needs, including appropriate EMS-level procedures
- Assist nursing and emergency department teams as needed
Qualifications
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- Successful completion of EMS paramedic training from an approved training course is required
License(s)/Certification(s):
Current certification at EMT-PM level is required.
