Director of Emergency Services

Overview

Shift:  Monday-Friday; 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

As the Director of Emergency Services, you'll do more than oversee operations - you’ll help shape the future of emergency care. This dynamic leadership role is responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and success of our Emergency Services department, ensuring alignment with the organization's mission and long-term goals.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for hiring, evaluating, and development management teams to develop an effective and efficient leadership team.
• Develops and reviews succession plans for expected and unexpected vacancies in key Service Line positions.
• Responsible for activity and operations within specified areas.
• Responsible for organizing staffing and administering all personnel in one or more functional organizational units.
• Partner with the Market Chief Nursing Officer and other directors to develop operational plans to ensure the achievement of the strategic work.
• Leads development and approval of ED operational plans; accountable for translating strategy into workflows and staffing models.
• Owns ED strategic priorities and operational execution; sets targets and timelines; holds teams accountable.

Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing or Health related profession.

License(s)/Certification(s):

• Current RN Licensure in State of Iowa or applicable compact state. Must be licensed in state of residence.

Experience:

• Five years of professional experience required.
• Two years of previous management experience required.
