About this role

About Abound

We’re redefining consumer lending in the UK, and beyond. Using advanced AI and Open Banking data, we make fair, affordable personal finance available to more people. While traditional lenders rely almost entirely on credit scores, we look at the full financial picture - how much you spend, and what you can afford to repay to build a deeper, more accurate understanding of each customer's unique financial situation.

And we've shown it works at scale. We’ve issued over £1.3bn in loans directly to customers while delivering market-leading credit performance - for every 10 defaults the industry expects, we see only 3. We also reached profitability just 2.5 years after launch.

Backed by £2bn+ of funding from top-tier investors including Citi, GSR Ventures, and Deutsche Bank, we’re recognised as one of Europe’s fastest-growing fintechs (Sifted, CNBC). Now, we’re expanding into new markets and product lines - and we’re looking for ambitious people who want to learn fast, take ownership, and grow with us.

About the role

We’re looking for a Treasury Manager to help build a best-in-class finance and treasury function at Abound. This is a hand-on role at the heart of a fast-scaling fintech – owning funder reporting, driving funding efficiency and helping to manage our capital stack.

We work closely with teams across the business to provide insights, build scalable processes, and help shape key decisions that drive growth. Everyone on the team is hands-on and adaptable; we believe in rolling up our sleeves to get the job done, whether it’s a high-level analysis or a foundational operational task.

This is a critical role within the Finance Team and for the right candidate, can be the launchpad for a rewarding career, opening clear pathways to broaden expertise, take on greater responsibility, and progress into senior and strategic roles at Abound.

Who you are:

  • You’re a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with 2–5 years of post-qualified experience, ideally in a fast-paced or growth-focused business.

  • You bring a sharp commercial mindset, with the ability to identify trends and connect the dots between data and strategy.

  • You have advanced Excel skills and you’re comfortable working with large datasets

  • You’re proactive and you take ownership for your work

  • You’re comfortable with ambiguity and able to balance using data, judgement, and common sense to move forward

  • A team player who’s happy to challenge, collaborate, and step outside your role when needed

  • You’re a flexible and adaptive thinker. You thrive on change and are energized by solving new challenges in a dynamic environment.

  • You’re a confident communicator who can translate financial data into clear insights for non-financial stakeholders.

  • Experience in treasury operations is a plus but drive and motivation are what we value the most

What you'll be doing:

  • Driving funding efficiency by actively managing our loan book on and off-balance sheet, staying aligned with funder expectations, and supporting strategic business goals.

  • Turning loan origination targets into smart funding strategies. Forecasting capital needs, coordinating timely drawdowns across multiple facilities, and keeping liquidity flowing efficiently to fuel growth.

  • Owning monthly funder reporting. Digging into the data and pulling out key performance insights. Ensuring every report meets the specific regulatory and compliance standards of our funding partners.

  • Helping to drive new product initiatives forward by collaborating with teams across the business, rolling your sleeves up when necessary.

  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure transparency and trust.

  • Taking ownership, solving problems, and continuously looking for ways to do things better

  • Improving and automating processes to support scale. Moving fast, but thoughtfully

What we offer

  • Everyone owns a piece of the company - equity

  • Hybrid with 3 days a week in the office

  • 25 days’ holiday a year, plus 8 bank holidays

  • 2 paid volunteering days per year

  • One month paid sabbatical after 4 years

  • Employee loan

  • Free gym membership

  • Team wellness budget to be active together - set up a yoga class, a tennis lesson or go bouldering
