Responsibilities
- Responsible for exercise prescription and progression of patients in program Responsible for safe exercise programming Assist with evaluation and discharge of patients Assist with patient education.
- Reviews patient health history and adjusts initial exercise prescription/plan.
- Collects initial preprogram outcomes information.
- Enters patient information into LSI monitoring system.
- Interviews patient for progress toward initial exercise goals.
- Makes appropriate exercise recommendations to referring MD.
- Updates weekly exercise prescription and progresses patient at appropriate pace.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in exercise science, Human performance, or equivalent. Master’s degree preferred.
Experience: Previous experience in rehab setting, internship, or clinical setting preferred.
License(s)/Certification(s): Must maintain current CPR Certification. CCRP, CEP, ACSM exercise specialist preferred. ACLS certification
