Overview

Shift:  Monday-Friday; 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

This role is at the heart of shaping a thriving nursing culture-leading initiatives that elevate knowledge, sharpen clinical practice, and champion professional growth across the hospital.  As our RN Nursing Professional Development Associate, you’ll bring evidence-based practice to life, collaborate with nursing teams to strengthen operations, and guide shared governance structures that empower nurses’ voices. This role supports nursing excellence by advancing education, training, and practice initiatives across the organization, including nurse residency, BLS education, project rollout and implementation, and practice change across clinical areas.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates support for the mission, philosophy, and goals of Trinity Regional Medical Center.
• Encourages and assists staff in the pursuit of advanced degrees.
• Coordinates Pathways to Excellence application, adherence to Pathway to Excellence standards and ongoing activities to demonstrate compliance to elements of performance.
• Facilitates excellence in nursing practice by assisting to integrate magnet/Pathway concepts into clinical practice.
• Demonstrates support for the mission, philosophy, and goals of Trinity Regional Medical Center.
• Provides leadership for Evidence-based Practice (EBP) activities by preparing information and sharing with nurses and other healthcare providers and assists to skill build opportunities in the EBP process.
• Fosters critical thinking about clinical issues to foster nurses' use of research in making clinical decisions.
• Collaborates with other healthcare providers in the use of evidence in clinical decision-making and mentors staff in using and generating evidence through participating in data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications

Education: 

• Bachelor's degree in nursing 
• Master's degree in nursing preferred

Licenses/Certifications:

• Current RN Licensure in State of Iowa or applicable compact state.  Must be licensed in state of residence
• Valid driver’s license when driving any vehicle for work-related reasons

Experience:

• Three years’ experience with progressive responsibilities
