Overview
Provide education on behavioral health topics. Specific topics to include (but are not limited to) signs and symptoms of mental health and substance use problems, prevention, early intervention, crisis management (ie: overdose prevention/reversal, intoxication, suicide, non-suicidal self-injury, inability to meet basic needs, harm to others), treatment options, and area resources.

Responsibilities
Implements training to internal staff, external partners, patients/families, and community.
Utilizes approved formal and informal teaching methods and/or curriculum.
Supports competency development and implementation.
Serves as a resource to internal and external teams/people on training topics.
Markets service and connects with target groups to schedule trainings
Collects data and submits reports as required by agency, funders, and regulators.
Ability to communicate that person centered care is ideal, patient and family voices matter, and recovery from mental health and substance use problems is possible
Ability to work under time constraints
Ability to deal with people effectively, patiently and respond professionally in all situations
Ability to maintain confidential information
Must be able to communicate effectively with people of diverse, professional, educational and lifestyle backgrounds
Must be able to work independently and assume responsibility for timely completion of assigned functions
Exercises sound judgement, seeking advice when appropriate
Performs effectively under stressful situations
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree, requiredAt least 30 semester hours in a human services field, preferred
Valid drivers license, approved driving record
