About this role
Overview
We are seeking a Patient Account Registrar, sometimes referred to as a Hospital Admission Representative. The Patient Account Registrar collects and verifies patient demographic and insurance information while ensuring eligibility, benefits, and authorizations are accurately obtained. The Patient Account Registrar collaborates closely with the Admitting team and communicates effectively with patients across all age groups.Â

Location: St. Mary's Medical Center – Blue Sprigns, MOÂ

Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):Â
- Interview patients or authorized representatives to gather accurate demographic and insurance informationÂ
- Verify insurance eligibility, benefits, and required authorizationsÂ
- Enter and retrieve patient data using computerized systemsÂ
- Communicate clearly with patients using age-appropriate techniques across all life stagesÂ
- Support Admitting department operations, including reception, PBX functions, and special assignmentsÂ
