About the Team The Online Merchant Partnerships team drives Paytm UPI growth across India's largest digital businesses. The team partners with leading e-commerce, quick commerce, travel, food delivery, gaming, subscription, and digital service platforms to accelerate user adoption, transaction growth, and market share. Role Overview We are looking for a high-impact partnerships manager to drive growth through strategic online merchant partnerships. The role combines new merchant acquisition, strategic account management, commercial negotiations, and business growth ownership. You will work closely with senior leaders across merchant organizations and internal cross-functional teams to build scalable partnerships that drive user and transaction growth. Key Responsibilities Merchant Acquisition & Growth ● Identify, acquire, and onboard high-potential online merchants and ecosystem partners .● Build a strong pipeline of strategic partnership opportunities across key digital categories. ● Own end-to-end partnership execution including sourcing, pitching, negotiations, onboarding, and growth. ● Develop and execute joint business plans to drive transaction growth and Paytm UPI adoption. Strategic Account Management ● Own growth and retention of key merchant accounts. ● Deepen existing partnerships through new integrations, visibility opportunities, co-marketing initiatives, and commercial constructs. ● Identify opportunities to increase Paytm's share of transactions across partner ecosystems. Executive Relationship Management ● Build strong relationships with CXOs, founders, business heads, growth leaders, and product teams across partner organizations. ● Act as a trusted advisor to merchant partners and influence strategic business decisions. ● Lead senior-level business reviews and partnership discussions. Business Ownership ● Own key business metrics including transactions, market share, user growth, retention, and profitability. ● Identify new growth levers, partnership models, and monetization opportunities. ● Drive merchant-funded campaigns, growth initiatives, and strategic launches. Cross-Functional Leadership ● Partner closely with Product, Marketing, Analytics, Finance, Operations, and Legal teams to deliver business outcomes. ● Drive alignment across stakeholders and ensure seamless execution of partner commitments. ● Manage multiple strategic initiatives simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. What We're Looking For ● 6–10 years of experience in Partnerships, Business Development, Enterprise Sales, Strategic Accounts, Growth, or Category Management. ● Proven track record of acquiring and scaling strategic partnerships. ● Strong ability to balance both hunting and farming responsibilities. ● Exceptional relationship-building and stakeholder management skills. ● Demonstrated experience engaging with senior executives and decision-makers. ● First-principles problem solver with the ability to operate effectively in ambiguous situations. ● Ability to think on your feet, make sound business decisions, and drive outcomes. ● Strong commercial acumen, negotiation skills, and business judgment. ● Highly analytical and data-driven with strong problem-solving capabilities. ● Ability to multitask and collaborate effectively across diverse cross-functional teams. ● High ownership mindset with a bias for action and execution excellence. ● Prior experience in payments, fintech, e-commerce, internet, or platform businesses is preferred. ● MBA from a Tier-1 institute preferred.
