Job Description

JOB PURPOSE:

This position will perform activities related to the upkeep, basic maintenance and cleaning of the press. Primary area of concentration is the press but will also provide direction and support to the utility department in all other areas of the plant. This employee may also be responsible for oversight and direction of temporary employees when used in support of the production of MDF.

This position will primarily work Monday through Friday daylight but may be required to work various hours including evenings, weekends and holidays

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
• High school diploma or G.E.D. certificate
• Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy and quality and consistently demonstrate pride in one's work
• Ability to perform all tasks associated with maintaining a clean and safe press and press area
• Ability to complete all documentation associated with the Press such as round sheets for the cleaning of the press and associated areas
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve problems during day-to-day production as well as understand escalating issues and react accordingly and in a timely fashion
• Ability to operate a fork truck and other equipment required in the production of MDF/HDF

• Exceptionally self-motivated and directed. Energetic, forward-thinking and creative with high ethical standards
• Keen attention to detail
