About this role

We are looking for a Analytics Engineer to join our dynamic team, where you will play a pivotal role in steering the strategic direction of our marketing, product development, and monetization efforts through data-driven insights. As a key member of our data analytics team, you will leverage your expertise to extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets, uncovering actionable insights that drive growth and efficiency across the company.

Job requirements

  • At least 5 years of proven experience in analytics engineer roles, preferably within the B2C app industry or mobile gaming industry

  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and programming languages, such as SQL, Python, etc.

  • Experience with data visualization tools such as Metabase, Looker or Tableau, with a strong track record of creating intuitive dashboards and reports that communicate key metrics and trends to stakeholders.

  • Experience with data transformation tools (dbt, Dataform) and version control (Git)

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets, draw meaningful conclusions, and communicate findings effectively to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Excellent communication skills to present findings and collaborate with non-technical stakeholders.

  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.

  • Familiarity with mobile analytics platforms (e.g. Adjust, Firebase) supporting effective measurement of user acquisition and engagement efforts.

  • A passion for and understanding of the mobile app and mobile gaming industry, including market trends and player behavior.

Nice to Have:

  • Familiarity with A/B testing methodology and experiment evaluation

  • Familiarity with user attribution methodologies for different platforms.

Job responsibilities

  • Extract, manipulate, and analyze large datasets related to marketing, in-app events, product, and monetization metrics to uncover actionable insights.

  • Work closely with stakeholders across departments, including marketing, product management, finance, and data engineering, to align on objectives, share insights, and drive collaborative initiatives

  • Design and maintain data models to support analytics and reporting needs, following dimensional modeling principles

  • Conduct cohort analysis and segmentation to help optimize user acquisition, product development and monetization efforts.

  • Participate in collaborations with external machine learning projects to enhance data capabilities and implement cutting-edge analytical techniques, contributing to the development of innovative solutions that drive user engagement and business growth.

  • Occasionally develop and maintain core dashboards and reports for tracking and monitoring key performance metrics.
