We're seeking an experienced and people-focused Student Services Team Leader to lead our Student Services team and play a key role in delivering an exceptional student experience. Job Description

About the Role

Reporting to the Student Services Manager, you will lead a team of Student Services Officers to deliver high-quality support throughout the student journey.

You will oversee the day-to-day operation of Student Services, ensuring students receive timely, accurate and professional assistance across key touchpoints including orientation, enrolment, progression and graduation. Working closely with academic and operational stakeholders, you will drive service excellence, identify opportunities for process improvement, and help create a positive and engaging experience for students.

The role also plays an important part in maintaining the integrity of student records, monitoring service performance, supporting compliance requirements, and using student feedback and data insights to continuously enhance service delivery.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Business Administration or a related discipline
  • Demonstrated leadership experience within the education sector, ideally within student services, administration or student support functions
  • Experience leading, coaching and developing team members to achieve service excellence
  • Strong understanding of student administration processes and compliance requirements
  • Experience working with student management systems and maintaining accurate student records
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong organisational, planning and time management capabilities
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Ability to analyse information, identify trends and implement improvements

  • Previous experience within higher education or tertiary education environments
  • Experience using student feedback and performance data to improve service outcomes
  • Knowledge of student lifecycle activities including orientation, enrolment, progression and graduation processes
  • Experience contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies
