Senior Validation Engineer

We enjoy coming to the office and collaborating with one another.    As our site is growing, we have a role for a Senior Validation Engineer to join our newly founded Silicon Validation team to help us to expand and maintain our lab and to manage the execution of silicon validation tests for all of Alif’s devices. We are building our Silicon Validation Team, and in this role, you will work closely with the director of Silicon Validation and the rest of our validation and development teams. This position is a permanent, full-time role for a professional who is capable of independently planning, organizing, and executing their own work. This role does not require prior experience in a lead or managerial position but does require a strong sense of ownership and accountability. The individual should be able to effectively document and report on their activities, progress, and results.   If this sounds appealing, please read on   Ideally, we would like you to work on the following responsibilities:   * Build and maintain our silicon validation lab infrastructure * Setting up, operating and integrating test equipment to silicon validation test frameworks * Help create and maintain silicon validation test frameworks * Help in maintaining an automated test environment * Develop and execute scripts and applications for automated testing and system configuration to validate silicon level functionality and performance * Assisting with root cause analysis and defect isolate of issues found * Reporting on activities, progress, and results. * Bug reporting and verification of bug fixes   The role will be built around the experience you have, but here’s some requirements that we feel may be beneficial:   * Background or studies in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science * Experience with test equipment used in validation * Knowledge or experience with testing frameworks, software configuration management & defect tracking tools. * Knowledge of silicon validation is a strong plus   It would be great to have a teammate with good communication and problem-solving skills and the desire to seek diverse challenges to help you grow   We can promise you awesome challenges and great opportunities to grow, but we will also make sure you are compensated fairly and according to our role expectations   The position is located in Oulu, Finland.
