Our Retail Operations & Transformation team are laser-focused on critical metrics—driving SAP support, efficiency of in-store operations, checkout performance and play a key role with new store openings & ownership changes across all three banners.
Te Tūranga – About the role
As our Retail Operations Coordinator, you’ll be the first point of contact supporting store openings, refurbishments, and Change of Ownership (COO) activity across our network.
Operating as a retail operations helpdesk, you’ll triage and resolve queries, support store teams through key transitions, and ensure operational readiness from pre-opening through to post-go-live stabilisation.
You’ll work closely with Retail Operations, Property, Membership and Programme Teams to deliver consistent support and seamless store transitions.
Ngā kawenga – What you’ll be doing
Act as the primary helpdesk for store opening and COO operational support
Log, triage, resolve or escalate queries through support channels
Support stores during readiness, opening, and stabilisation phases
Assist Operators and Store Leadership with systems, processes, and operational readiness
Maintain accurate records of issues, actions, and outcomes
Identify recurring issues and contribute to continuous improvement
Coordinate with internal teams to deliver consistent operational support
Support refurbishment and change initiatives across the network
He kōrero mōu – About you
You’re a practical, solutions-focused operator who thrives in fast-paced retail environments. You’ll bring:
2–4 years’ experience in retail operations, store support, or coordination roles
Experience supporting store openings, refurbishments, or transitions
Strong understanding of grocery or multi-site retail operations
Experience working with systems (SAP or similar) and troubleshooting issues
Proven ability to prioritise, triage, and resolve operational challenges
Excellent communication skills with the ability to support diverse stakeholders
Strong organisation skills and attention to detail
A customer-first, store-first mindset
