UX Designer
About this role
About Right FormulaÂ
At Right Formula, we enable brands to push the limits of sports marketing through a unique blend of expertise, ingenuity and agility that we call the Right Formula. Our complete 360-degree service offering takes brands from partnership identification through to the delivery of fully integrated marketing strategies. With offices in the UK and the US, we support clients worldwide, helping them to accelerate growth through the power of sport.Â
We recently launched our technology division and are building a SaaS platform that will redefine how brands and rights holders work in sports marketing. This is an exciting time to join a fast-growing, entrepreneurial team at the ground floor of something genuinely new.Â
Â
The opportunityÂ
We are looking for a UX Designer who is ready to make their mark. This is not a role for someone who wants to colour within the lines. You will be a founding voice in our product design culture; someone who challenges assumptions, shapes ways of working, and takes genuine ownership of the user experience across our digital platforms, client and guest experiences.Â
Working directly within our product team, you will collaborate closely with Client Services and Client Success Management teams to design thoughtful, value-driven solutions that serve both our clients and the business. With a live product already in market and more in the pipeline, there is real work to do from day one.Â
Â
 What you'll be doing
-
Lead end-to-end UX design: From discovery and concept through to polished, production-ready interfacesÂ
-
Build and evolve our design system and component library, establishing consistent standards that scale as the product growsÂ
-
Run user research, usability testing and stakeholder interviews to ground design decisions in real insightÂ
-
Work together with product and engineering in an agile environment, contributing to sprint planning, reviews and continuous iterationÂ
-
Partner with Client Success Managers to translate client feedback and business requirements into user-centred design solutionsÂ
-
Help define and champion our product design process including tooling, documentation, critique and ways of workingÂ
-
Contribute to information architecture, user flows, wireframes, prototypes and high-fidelity mock ups across web and potentially mobile surfacesÂ
-
Proactively identify UX debt and opportunities for improvement, bringing a strategic lens to prioritisation conversationsÂ
Â
About you
You are entrepreneurial by nature. You thrive in ambiguity, enjoy building things from scratch and take pride in moving quickly without sacrificing quality. You ask why before you ask how, and you are as comfortable presenting a rationale to a client.Â
Â
You'll bring:Â
-
A genuine curiosity about users, problems and systems. You investigate before you designÂ
-
Strong communication skills and the confidence to present and defend your design decisions to varied audiences, including clientsÂ
-
The ability to work independently, managing and communicating your workload effectivelyÂ
-
A collaborative spirit that brings people along with you, whether you are working with engineers, account managers or senior stakeholdersÂ
-
Actively seek feedback and process it constructively and use it to make valuable enhancementsÂ
-
A strategic mindset that keeps the bigger picture in view while sweating the details that matterÂ
-
Mission-driven motivation: You care about the impact of your work, not just the outputÂ
Â
What we're looking for
Essential:Â
-
Figma - confident across components, auto-layout, variants, prototyping and developer handoffÂ
-
Miro for collaborative workshops and journey mappingÂ
-
Design systems and component libraries - experience creating or contributing to a shared design languageÂ
-
Information architecture and interaction design fundamentalsÂ
-
Prototyping at varying levels of fidelity to test and communicate ideasÂ
Desirable:Â
-
User research methods - interviews, usability testing, surveys, synthesis and affinity mappingÂ
-
Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and inclusive design practicesÂ
-
Basic understanding of front-end development (HTML/CSS) to facilitate smoother collaboration with engineersÂ
-
Experience working with or within agile teams using tools such as Jira, Confluence or similarÂ
-
Knowledge of analytics and data visualisation tools to inform design decisionsÂ
-
Motion design or micro-interaction experienceÂ
-
SaaS or B2B product design backgroundÂ
Â
Experience & BackgroundÂ
-
Proven experience of UX/product design experience, ideally within a SaaS or digital product environmentÂ
-
A portfolio that demonstrates strategic thinking, strong visual craft and a clear design process - not just polished deliverablesÂ
-
Experience working in fast-paced, early-stage or scale-up environments is a distinct advantageÂ
-
Exposure to client-facing work or working alongside commercial teams is highly desirableÂ
Â
Why Right FormulaÂ
-
Join at a pivotal moment -  you will help shape the design culture and ways of working from the ground upÂ
-
Real influence over product direction, not just executionÂ
-
A genuinely collaborative team that values ideas over hierarchyÂ
-
The energy of a startup with the backing and reputation of an established agencyÂ
-
Work at the intersection of sport, brand and technology — a rare and exciting combinationÂ
Â
If you are the kind of designer who wants to build something meaningful, challenge the status quo and leave a real mark on a product people use — we would love to hear from you.
