In this role, you are expected to apply your expertise in software development and cloud-based platforms, along with your knowledge of backend development and system design skills. RESPONSIBILITIES Join us in building the next-generation smart home experience for real-world urban environments. As an IoT Software Engineer, you’ll be responsible for the development and operation of software that runs on edge devices controlling home appliances. These devices form a foundational layer in a platform that ensures safe, seamless, and energy-efficient living—connected to mobile apps and cloud services. What You’ll Do: ・Develop and operate edge software for smart home devices, primarily using Python in Dockerized environments ・Lead the end-to-end development cycle: from requirements gathering and architecture design to implementation and testing ・Design real-time control and data pipelines using asynchronous protocols such as MQTT ・Optimize embedded firmware layers based on Thread, Zigbee, or other IoT protocols (written in C) ・Collaborate cross-functionally with platform, security, and operations teams to deliver a secure, extensible, and city-scale IoT infrastructure ・Contribute to a high-performance engineering culture through knowledge sharing and mentorship within the team
