About this role
Role
Undertake both independent and collaborative research to enhance the present and future nanofiber cavity QED systems for quantum computing.
Lead the design, development, operation, diagnosis, and enhancement of new experiment systems, under supervision of the CTO.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to engineers and interns.
Qualifications
Must have PhD before commencing the role.
Requirements
Fundamental understanding of quantum computation and quantum communication.
Proficient in verbal and written English communication (Knowledge of Japanese is not mandatory).
Ability to work cohesively in an interdisciplinary team and adjust to a rapidly evolving environment.
Desired Experience
At least 3 years of experience in the development/operation of experiments to control quantum system.
Expertise in one or more of the following domains:
Cooling, trapping and manipulating ions or neutral atoms
Control of atom/photons in cavity QED system
Coherent control of other quantum systems for quantum computing or quantum communication e.g., superconducting circuits, quantum dots
Quantum optics
