About this role

WHAT YOU’LL DO

You will be a leader in the field, responsible for deploying our autonomous equipment and working closely with our partners to ensure that they can operate our products and seamlessly integrate them into their operations. You will identify opportunities to improve the user experience, deploy more robots, and ensure our robots deliver value to our customers. This will also involve establishing a deep understanding of our customers’ needs, priorities, and processes.

In addition, you will work closely with Built’s engineering team, identifying feature developments and recommending future products. Much of our technology also requires running tests on actual hardware, and you will support the engineering team by leading day-to-day operations, debugging, and troubleshooting on the robots.

Finally, you will be representing the Built brand to ensure we always deliver the safest and best product.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Deploying robots to the field and working with our partners while ensuring seamless, safe, and accurate work

  • Working with the engineering team on identifying and reproducing bugs

  • Maintaining equipment, electronics and sensors

  • Assist in testing robots in our facility

  • Be a liaison between operations and engineering

  • Installing sensors and other components on equipment

  • Developing best practices for operations & preventative maintenance

  • Ensuring that our facilities and tools are consistently kept in tidy, safe, and presentable condition

  • Develop knowledge of solar pile driving and related construction activities

  • Representing the Built Robotics brand in the field and working with our customers

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS in a technical field or equivalent work experience

  • 5+ years of experience working with, repairing, and maintaining heavy equipment and machinery

  • Excellent hands-on technical ability, including prototype design and fabrication, soldering, metalworking and woodworking

  • Very strong communication skills, especially with operators and customers

  • Rigorous attention to detail

  • Adaptability and flexibility to work in new situations, pick up new skills, and do what it takes to get the job done

  • Ability to drive trucks, operate heavy equipment, and lift 60 lbs

  • Willingness to travel weekly to the field

  • Valid US driver's license

ABOUT THE COMPANY & ROLE

Built Robotics’ mission is to build the robots that build the world. By automating repetitive tasks in the $300 billion solar industry, Built is bridging the workforce gap to accelerate our transition to clean energy.

The starting annual base salary range for this role is $75,000 - $110,000. Job level and actual compensation will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, individual qualifications, working location, and market demands. The total compensation package for this role may also include: equity compensation, benefits such as medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, cell phone and internet reimbursement and more.
