Railroad Bridge Engineer

Railroad Bridge Engineer   We are currently seeking a Railroad Bridge Engineer for our office located in Brentwood, TN to support a wide variety of bridge engineering assignments, including design of new railroad bridges and other railroad structures (culverts, retaining walls, shoring, foundations, passenger platforms, overhead pedestrian bridges, unloading pits, engine shops, etc.), design of bridge rehabilitation projects, bridge load ratings and construction phase engineering.  Daily activities include, but are not limited to, developing structural details and plans, performing structural analysis for bridge substructures and superstructures, development of structural specifications and as well as assisting with geometric layout and quantity development.  The Railroad Bridge Engineer will also review plans, check design calculations, estimates and specifications produced by other professional engineers and EITs.   This position requires attention to details, strict conformance to project quality control and the ability to provide practical solutions to complex problems.    The Railroad Bridge Engineering position will require some travel across the United States with the possibilities of international travel.
