Principal, Discipline Lead - Acoustic

About the Position   The Principal, Discipline Lead is a senior technical leadership position responsible for advancing discipline standards, best practices, documentation, training, and design quality across the firm. As a member of TEECOM’s Engineering Team, you’ll help reduce firmwide risk, strengthen project delivery, and ensure our systems scale effectively. You’ll lead through expertise and clarity—setting direction for how the discipline is practiced, guiding complex design decisions, and maintaining high standards across teams and projects.   You’ll serve as the firm’s subject matter expert for your discipline, providing judgment on design challenges, conducting design and QA/QC reviews, and supporting project teams with early guidance. You’ll shape TEECOM’s technical excellence by developing standards, workflows, templates, and documentation that teams can rely on, and by ensuring these systems are consistently applied across the firm. You’ll contribute to pursuit strategy, help teams start projects with strong alignment, provide code and product research, resolve complex coordination issues, and maintain TEECOM’s design standards, templates, and GitHub documentation.   You’ll support learning and growth across the firm by leading discipline training journeys, mentoring engineers and production team members, and contributing to scalable technical learning systems.   This position is ideal for leaders who drive impact through systems, documentation, and technical clarity—strengthening discipline consistency, reducing risk, and enabling high-quality, scalable delivery across the firm.
