We’re continuing to grow, and we’re looking for a QA/QC Specialist who will help us lift performance, strengthen processes, and ensure every product that leaves our doors reflects our commitment to excellence.

Job Description

This position plays a key role in building, managing, and continuously improving the systems that ensure product quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction. Working across multiple teams, you’ll help us embed best practice, resolve issues, drive improvement, and support the business as we scale.

Located at Northgate Business Park in Horotiu, this is a permanent full-time position with 37.5 hours worked Monday to Friday. The salary range for the role is $80,000–$90,000.

Your responsibilities will span the full quality function, including:

Quality Management

  • Develop and maintain our Quality Management System (QMS), aligned with ISO standards
  • Ensure processes meet customer, regulatory, and industry requirements
  • Support certification audits and organisation-wide readiness
  • Lead risk assessments and preventative quality measures

Quality Control & Inspection

  • Inspect raw materials, in-process and finished goods
  • Maintain sampling plans, testing methods, and calibration requirements
  • Work alongside manufacturing and assembly teams to resolve quality issues in real time

Supplier Quality

  • Evaluate, monitor, and build strong relationships with suppliers
  • Conduct supplier audits and ensure incoming materials meet specification
  • Lead resolution of supplier-related quality issues

Documentation & Reporting

  • Maintain SOPs, work instructions and quality documentation
  • Track non-conformances, corrective actions, and quality performance
  • Provide clear reporting and insights to senior leaders

Problem Solving & Customer Focus

  • Lead root-cause analysis and corrective & preventive action (CAPA)
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints
  • Support teams to embed long-term solutions – not temporary fixes

Continuous Improvement

  • Support Lean, Six Sigma or Kaizen initiatives
  • Use data to identify trends and drive improvements

HSE Integration

  • Lead by example in health, safety, and environmental best practice
  • Ensure quality processes support safe and compliant outcomes

Qualifications

What you’ll bring

  • Tertiary qualification in quality, engineering, or a related field
  • At least 1 year of experience in a quality-focused role within manufacturing
  • Strong analytical mindset and confidence using data to drive decisions
  • Excellent communication, relationship-building, and influencing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft F&O / ERP systems and MS Office (especially Excel)
  • High attention to detail, strong organisation, and the ability to manage multiple priorities
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach with a commitment to continuous improvement
  • A strong team player who builds positive relationships across the business
  • Customer-focused with a professional and solutions-led approach
  • Confident, curious, and motivated
  • Highly organised with great time management
  • Someone with integrity — who owns their work and follows through
