Job Description

1. Coordinates with senior structural engineers to ensure correct implementation of the project design and coordinates the work of engineers within his specialty.
2. Prepares and reviews structural engineering studies, design drawings, calculations and documents, and material and equipment specifications.
3. Resolves specialty related structural engineering issues by applying accepted principles, codes, and standards.
4. Analyzes problems and determines critical factors for investigation.
5. Organizes and conducts investigations and analysis.
6. Participates in the development of new structural engineering methods.
7. Provides expert advice on design processes or construction methods.
8. Approves significant changes in specifications and plans, work techniques and materials.
9. Determines and schedules work priorities.
10. Prepares structural engineering proposals estimates.
11. Ensures quality plans are implemented.
12. Promotes safety culture.

Qualifications

1. BS in Engineering and registered as a professional engineer with 10 years of significant experience.
2. Has experience in the oil/gas, hydrocarbon, refinery, offshore, or infrastructure industries and is recognized as specialist in structural engineering field on large to mega projects.

Must have thorough knowledge of engineering practices and economic principles, calculation methods, design details, international codes and standards, procedures, and specifications.
