Job Summary

Provide support and personal care assistance to clients in their homes, enabling them to maintain their independence and quality of life. Your role will involve delivering personalized care to individuals with varying needs, including elderly patients, individuals with disabilities, and those recovering from illness or surgery.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

General:

Specific to Position:

1. Assist clients with daily living activities, including bathing, toileting, dressing, grooming, meal preparation, light housekeeping and laundry, and more as needed.
2. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and caring environment.
3. Help clients with mobility, transferring, and ambulation as needed.
4. Monitor patients' vital signs and report any changes to the supervising nurse.
5. Administer medication and assist with medical equipment as directed by healthcare providers.
6. Maintain a clean and safe environment in the client’s home.
7. Assumes responsibility for on-going personal development and continuing education.
8. Creates opportunities for new referrals and referral relationships when representing the company in the community.
9. Supports the philosophy, objectives and mission of BeLoved With You.
10. Maintains professional competency and licensure.
11. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job.

1. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent; further education in healthcare is a plus.
2. Maintain a Medication Management Certification (or willing to obtain one)
3. Previous experience as a caregiver, home health aide, or in a similar role preferred.
4. Prior experience working with geriatric, disabled, or long-term care patient populations, preferred.
5. Current certification in CPR and First Aid (or willing to obtain).
6. Current Food Handlers Card (or willing to obtain)
7. Must have reliable transportation and maintain auto insurance.
8. Must maintain a valid driver’s license.
9. Successful completion of background check pursuant to ORS 181A.195.
10. Read, write and understand the English language.
