Barrière is seeking a Director of Human Resources. 

As part of the Hotel Executive Committee and under the direct supervision of the General Manager on site & Director of HR Group Barrière, you will step into the heart of an exhilarating pre-opening phase, spearheading the final HR setup to ensure a flawless, high-profile property launch.

Building upon initial on-site foundations, you will breathe life into our HR infrastructure—deploying advanced digital tools, closing out the final waves of recruitment, and orchestrating a world-class onboarding journey. Directly managing a team of 2 Human Resources Supervisors, this is a tailor-made opportunity for a high-impact, hands-on leader who thrives on transforming high-level strategic visions into vibrant, daily operational realities.

Job Description

KEY RESPONSABILITIES

Crafting the Dream Team: Recruitment & World-Class Onboarding

  • Cross the Finish Line: take the reins of our active recruitment campaigns, successfully closing open positions across all departments with top-tier talent.

  • Elevate the Onboarding Experience: design and deliver immersive integration programs that instantly immerse new hires into our signature luxury service standards, including the management of the staff housing.

  • Continuous Growth: plan and execute impactful, ongoing training initiatives tailored for both our fast-paced seasonal teams and core permanent staff as well as ensuring all mandatory training is completed.

Championing HR Tech & Financial Strategy

  • Streamline Payroll Operations: establish flawless, airtight payroll workflows—managing time cards, variable compensation, and final payouts with precision, whether executed internally or alongside an external partner.

  • Financial Partnership: act as a strategic partner in budget planning. Analyze departmental needs, optimize seasonal workforce distribution, and proactively manage labor cost variances.

HR Operations & Legal Integrity

  • Operational Excellence: oversee the daily HR lifecycle for approximately 200 FTEs, ensuring seamless execution of employment contracts, seasonal agreements, internships, and attendance/medical tracking.

  • Local Compliance Expert: serve as the internal authority on Greek labor legislation, keeping leadership ahead of legal updates and mitigating risks.

  • Fair & Balanced Leadership: confidently lead all employee relations and disciplinary procedures with total compliance, transparency, and respect for local regulations.

  • Staff Accomodation: Oversee the operational management and maintenance of all staff housing facilities, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and guaranteeing a safe, comfortable, and high-standard living environment for all resident team members. Manage all related administrative tasks, including allocation, inventory, and conflict resolution.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Background: degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a related field.

  • Experience: 3-5 years of proven experience in a generalist HR leadership role.

  • Experience in luxury hospitality or a hotel pre-opening environment is highly desirable.

  • Technical Expertise: strong, up-to-date knowledge of Greek labor law, local employment regulations, and hands-on experience with payroll/HRIS software.

  • Leadership Style: a quick decision-maker with the efficiency and composure to handle demanding, high-pressure situations.

  • Soft Skills: outstanding diplomacy, emotional intelligence, and strong organizational skills.

  • English: fluent (mandatory).

  • Greek: fluent or highly proficient - highly appreciated.

Additional Information

Compensation : base salary 55k€ - 65k€
