Job Summary

This position is responsible to for the coordination and performance of a wide range of accounting and financial functions for Catholic Charities programs.

 

 Job Duties/Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential duties/responsibilities listed below.  Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential duties/responsibilities of this job. 

 

  1. Primarily responsible for coordinating and or performing various monthly accounting operations including, GL account reconciliations, bank reconciliations, and monthly journal entries.
  2. Back up and assist Accounts Payable with annual process and submission and ensure maintenance of vendor accounts.
  3. Back up and assist with maintaining the P-Card platform and collection of documentation and coding as necessary.
  4. Monitor and track prepaid expenses.
  5. Reconcile monthly clearing account for housing transactions.
  6. Process and track unclaimed property and submission.
  7. Assist with annual budget process and programs support as needed.
  8. Manage fixed assets and vehicle tracking.
  9. Track and maintain tracking of all leases.
  10. AR invoice entry into general ledger.
  11. Oversight of CCFSC mail to department and check and cash log.
  12. Assists with the preparations for the annual audit and other finance department activities as required.

  4. Performs related functions necessary to support the mission and core values of Catholic Charities.


Job Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the minimum qualifications listed below.  These qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform this job. 

 

Education/Experience:
to perform this job successfully, an individual must have:

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related business field is required.
  • A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in accounting and strong knowledge of General Ledger; and at least two (2) years supervisory experience in a finance setting is strongly preferred; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience.
