Job Description

JOB DETAILS

Base pay rate starts at $28.00 per hour

Shift: Day Shift, Full Time, Monday through Friday

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The Driver will be expected to transport and deliver building materials to our dealers, distribution centers and/or construction job sites using a tractor-trailer. This position requires a wide range of skills from practicing safe driving and delivery to top-notch customer service.

• Transport goods to various destinations, often across state lines
• Load, secure, and unload cargo safely
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of working hours and miles driven
• Vehicle Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance of the truck to ensure it is in good working condition
• Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations, as well as company policies
• Use GPS and other tools to plan efficient routes
• Coordinate with dispatchers and communicate effectively with clients and co-workers
• Monitor traffic and weather conditions to ensure safe driving practices
• Ability to lift up to 60 pound bundles
• To perform satisfactorily in this position, the employee must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

Qualifications

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• 2 years commercial truck driving experience (equivalent Military DD214 experience is acceptable)
• Clean driving record
• Hands on delivery experience
• Multi-drop delivery experience a plus
• Ability to work independently or with a team
• Ability to plan and manage time efficiently
• Ability to work safely throughout the day and prevent unsafe conditions
