To further strengthen our development team at CHECK24 Vergleichsportal Autoteile GmbH, we are looking for a motivated Working Student (m/f/d) Computer Science. In this role, you will gain hands-on experience in professional software development while contributing to products used by millions of customers.

Job Description

  • You support the development and maintenance of web applications under the guidance of experienced developers
  • Frontend features and user interfaces are enhanced by contributing to implementation, usability improvements, and bug fixes
  • You assist with backend development tasks, including API integrations, database-related changes, and performance optimizations
  • Existing and newly developed features are tested to identify bugs, usability issues, and potential improvements
  • Technical documentation, code changes, and development workflows are maintained to support efficient collaboration
  • You participate in sprint planning, stand-ups, code reviews, and other agile development activities
  • New technologies, tools, and best practices are researched and evaluated to support ongoing product development

Qualifications

  • You are currently enrolled in a degree program in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a comparable field
  • A solid understanding of software development principles and modern engineering practices is part of your skill set
  • You have gained initial experience with programming languages such as PHP, Go, JavaScript, or TypeScript
  • Strong analytical thinking and the ability to solve technical problems in a structured manner distinguish your work
  • You are familiar with web technologies, software testing concepts, and collaborative development workflows
  • Experience with AI-supported development tools such as Claude, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Gemini is advantageous
  • Good English skills (minimum C1 level), German skills are a plus
