Job Description

Voor het small-scale DSP team in Oss zoeken we een Associate Scientist DSP. In deze rol werk je aan zuiveringen en analyses van samples uit productie en small-scale studies binnen een biopharmaceutical omgeving.

Je werkt fulltime op locatie in Oss. De werkzaamheden vinden plaats in een laboratoriumomgeving waar nauwkeurige uitvoering, goede documentatie en werken volgens kwaliteitsrichtlijnen belangrijk zijn.

In deze functie ben je verantwoordelijk voor:

• Uitvoeren van immuunzuiveringen op samples uit productie (USP/DSP) en small-scale studies, met gebruik van ÄKTA-systemen
• Uitvoeren van capillaire zone-elektroforese op immuungezuiverde samples van biopharmaceuticals
• Uitvoeren van aanvullende DSP-gerelateerde werkzaamheden, zoals zuiveringen en analyses
• Vastleggen van werkzaamheden, resultaten en afwijkingen in labjournaals volgens de geldende documentatie-eisen
• Delen van voortgang, resultaten en aandachtspunten tijdens teamoverleggen
• Deelnemen aan dagelijkse afstemmomenten over planning, prioriteiten en lopende werkzaamheden
• Onderhouden van laboratoriumapparatuur, waaronder kwaliteitscontroles, kalibraties en kalibraties
• Uitvoeren van basis IT-taken binnen het lab, zoals software-installaties, gebruikersbeheer en ondersteuning bij systeemtoegang
• Meewerken aan aanvullende documentatietaken, zoals het schrijven of aanpassen van protocollen, werkinstructies en rapportages

Qualifications

• Je hebt een afgeronde MBO- of HBO-opleiding in een relevante richting, zoals Life Sciences, biochemie of chemie 
• Goede beheersing van Nederlands en Engels in woord en geschrift
• Je hebt kennis van kwaliteitsstandaarden zoals GLP en/of GMP, bij voorkeur opgedaan in een laboratorium- of productieomgeving
• Je hebt hands-on ervaring met downstream processing binnen een biologische of biopharmaceutical context
• Ervaring met ÄKTA-systemen is een sterke pré
• Ervaring met Empower en/of Unicorn software is een pré
• Je kunt je dagelijkse werkzaamheden plannen op basis van labprioriteiten, samplebeschikbaarheid en deadlines
• Je werkt nauwkeurig en legt je werkzaamheden zodanig vast dat resultaten herleidbaar en controleerbaar zijn

Daarnaast is het belangrijk dat je verbeterpunten in het lab herkent en praktisch kunt vertalen naar een voorstel of aanpassing in de werkwijze. Dat kan gaan om analysewerk, documentatie, apparatuurgebruik, planning of samenwerking met andere teams. Je hoeft nog geen senior specialist te zijn, maar je moet wel willen meedenken over hoe het werk betrouwbaarder, efficiënter of beter overdraagbaar kan worden uitgevoerd.
