Job Description

The technician will be part of a team working on developing and characterizing processes for marketed biotherapeutics. Experience with small-scale bioprocess lab operations would be preferred. Familiarity in aseptic cell culture techniques is a plus. Good organizational skills and willingness to learn and perform tasks with integrity are required.

The Lab Support Technician will assist in the daily operations of the laboratory, ensuring that all equipment and materials are readily available for the lab staff. The role involves maintaining the lab environment, managing inventory, consumable ordering, and supporting the technical staff in various tasks.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and workspace
  • Manage inventory of lab supplies and reagents
    • Work with stocking groups to maintain minimum consumable quantities
  • Assist in setting up and conducting experiments
    • Building 2L bioreactors for scientist experiments
    • Autoclave glass reactors prior to cell culture experiments
  • Maintain accurate records of lab activities
  • Support lab staff in various tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in a laboratory environment
  • Experience with 2L bioreactors is preferred
  • Familiarity with laboratory instruments such as Nova Flex and blood gas analyzers (BGA) is advantageous
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to effectively manage multiple tasks
  • High level of attention to detail and ability to follow established protocols
  • Associate’s degree with 2+ years of relevant experience, or a Bachelor’s degree with no prior experience required
  • Authorized to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

What to Expect in the Hiring Process: 

  • 10-15 Minute Phone Interview with Region Recruiter
  • 45-60 Minute Virtual Interview with Manager and/or Group Leader
  • 45-60 Meeting In-Person. on-site to meet with the Team 

The position is on-site, full-time, first shift, Monday through Friday. Candidates must be flexible to adapt to schedule changes that may require shift changes and/or weekend work, and overtime may be required as needed. Candidates living within a commutable distance of Andover, MA, are encouraged to apply.
