Job Description

Waste Disposal Technician responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

  •  Packages expired chemicals for shipment or disposal.
  •  Empties satellite containers into bulk containers and takes back to laboratory for reuse.
  •  Maintains chemical storage area to keep it clutter-free and free of fire hazards.
  •  Ships hazardous waste from the laboratory prior to the RCRA time limit for the facility.
  •  Tracks volume of waste generated for reporting to corporate and EPA.
  •  Prepares and tracks implementation of Waste Minimization Plan.
  •  Orders and maintains chemical inventory for the laboratory.
  •  Manages consignment room to keep all laboratory areas supplied.
  •  Provides assistance to other departments/areas as needed.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate would possess:

  •  Strong computer, scientific, and organizational skills
  •  Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  •  Ability to learn new techniques, perform multiple tasks simultaneously, keep accurate records, follow instructions, and comply with company policies.

Basic Minimum Qualifications:

  •  High School Diploma or Equivalent
  •  Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship

Additional Information

Employee would start as a technician and be expected to complete RCRA and DOT/IATA training and certification, paid for by Eurofins, within the first 90 days. 

Upon completion of training and certification, contingent on good performance, the employee will be eligible for a pay increase. 

Position is full-time, working 8:00 AM-4:00 PM Monday-Friday, some weekend required overtime as needed. Candidates currently living within commutable distance to Lancaster, PA are encouraged to apply.
