Job Description

  • Support in the initial planning and implementation of the Molecular Lab, including driving key special projects (a) COVID-19 PCR testing (b) Pipeline PCR tests, etc.
  • Develop SOPs and workflow protocols to perform molecular testing.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance on biosafety and quality of the Molecular Lab.
  • Support the procurement of Lab equipment & consumables with timely delivery.
  • Support the recruitment, selection and staff training for molecular testing.
  • Jointly lead the MOH audit with the laboratory management team to attain COVID-19 and molecular testing license.
  • Ensure optimal performance; efficiencies and quality of a high throughput Molecular Lab.
  • Ensure that laboratory policies and procedures and adhered by laboratory employees at all times.
  • Oversee the monitoring of Molecular Lab inventory levels; anticipating needs; placing and expediting orders; verifying receipt for Molecular Lab supplies and reagents.
  • Manage periodic internal, external. regulatory and accreditation audit (MOH, CAP, etc.)
  • Provide technical advisory on clinical laboratory methods, sciences and applications.
  • Support Eurofins' business philosophy, leadership, values, and ethics.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • Master of Science, Medical Technology or related Science.
  • Minimum 10 years working experience in a molecular laboratory and 5 years supervisory experience.
  • Considerable knowledge of the methods, materials, equipment, and techniques used in molecular diagnostics work.
  • Ability to organize, communicate, teach, and work with others in an effective manner.
  • Knowledge of state and local standards, regulations, guidelines and requirements effecting operations of a clinical reference laboratory.
  • Analytical thinking and good communication skills.
