How you will contribute

We are seeking an experienced and delivery-focused Senior Product Owner to lead the product strategy and execution for multiple tax and HR products within Asure Software's Human Capital Management (HCM) portfolio. This role requires a seasoned professional who can balance strategic product vision with tactical delivery excellence, managing complex product roadmaps while ensuring timely delivery of high-value features to our customers.


Product Strategy & Vision

  • Own the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for multiple tax and HR products within the HCM portfolio
  • Define and communicate product value propositions that align with market needs and business objectives
  • Conduct market analysis, competitive research, and customer feedback sessions to identify opportunities for product enhancement and innovation
  • Establish product KPIs and success metrics, regularly reporting on product performance and ROI


Delivery Management

  •  Drive aggressive delivery timelines while maintaining product quality and customer satisfaction
  • Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, and release planning for multiple product teams
  • Prioritize features and user stories based on business value, customer impact, and technical dependencies
  • Remove impediments and make quick decisions to keep development teams productive and on schedule
  • Coordinate cross-product dependencies and ensure alignment across the HCM portfolio


Stakeholder Collaboration

  •  Partner with engineering, design, sales, customer success, and marketing teams to ensure successful product delivery
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding product capabilities and roadmap
  • Facilitate communication between technical teams and business stakeholders, translating complex requirements into actionable user stories
  • Present product updates and demonstrations to executive leadership, customers, and prospects


Customer Focus

  • Maintain deep understanding of payroll tax and HR workflows, compliance requirements, and industry best practices
  • Engage directly with customers to understand pain points and validate product solutions
  • Monitor customer adoption, usage patterns, and satisfaction metrics to inform product decisions
  • Champion the voice of the customer throughout the product development lifecycle


Qualifications

  • 7+ years of product management/product owner experience, with at least 3 years in a senior role
  • Proven track record of successfully managing multiple B2B SaaS products simultaneously
  • Deep domain expertise in payroll, HR, or HCM software products
  • Experience working with complex, regulated products requiring compliance knowledge (tax, labor laws, etc.)
  • Demonstrated success in delivery-focused environments with aggressive timelines
  • MBA or advanced degree in Business or equivalent experience, Computer Science, or related field preferred
  • Product Owner certification (CSPO, PSPO) or similar credentials preferred
  • Experience with payroll tax platforms, time and attendance systems, or benefits administration platforms serving small businesses to enterprise clientele preferred
  • Knowledge of US and Canadian payroll and HR requirements for multi-jurisdiction organizations preferred
  • Experience with product-led growth strategies and customer self-service capabilities preferred
  • Familiarity with AI/ML applications in HCM products preferred
  • Track record of successful product launches and go-to-market execution preferred


Compensation

The pay range for this role is $115,000-$135,000 annually, depending upon level of experience.
