E&S Coordinator – Hydropower

As part of our continued growth in environmental and social (E&S) advisory services, particularly within the hydropower sector, we are expanding our team to support project delivery across Asia and other international markets.

We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced professional to join us as an E&S Coordinator – Hydropower, supporting the coordination and delivery of Environmental, Social and Health Impact Assessments (ESHIA) and related E&S activities across international projects.

Job Description

• Coordinate environmental and social (E&S) activities across hydropower projects, ensuring alignment with project timelines, scope, and quality standards.
• Support and contribute to the preparation of Environmental, Social and Health Impact Assessments (ESHIA).
• Act as a key interface between internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure smooth communication and project execution.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage inputs from various stakeholders involved in E&S and ESHIA deliverables.
• Review, draft, and quality-check technical reports and documentation prepared by internal teams or subcontractors.
• Ensure compliance with international environmental and social standards (e.g., IFC, ADB, Equator Principles).
• Support stakeholder engagement activities, including coordination with authorities and local stakeholders.
• Contribute to overall project delivery through collaboration, problem-solving, and knowledge sharing within international teams.
• Participate in project assignments across regions (Asia, Africa, Europe) as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, GIS, or a related field from a reputable university.
• Social specialization (e.g., resettlement, livelihood restoration, anthropology) is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in ESHIA/ESIA preparation.
• At least 2 years of experience in coordination of E&S activities.
• Strong knowledge of international E&S standards (IFC Performance Standards, ADB Safeguard Policy, Equator Principles).
• Prior experience in hydropower projects is highly preferred.
• Excellent communication skills with strong cultural awareness.
• Fluent in Thai and English (spoken and written), with strong report-writing capability.
• Proven ability to manage stakeholders and coordinate across multiple parties.
• Strong teamwork mindset, proactive attitude, and willingness to learn and support others.
• Willingness to travel internationally as required.
