Job Description

We are seeking a Lead FSRU Engineer with 10–15 years of experience in LNG terminal and Floating Storage Regasification Unit (FSRU) projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise in FEED (Front-End Engineering Design), particularly for FSRU projects.

Candidates with a background in FSRU vessel operations (e.g., former Captain or Chief Engineer) who have transitioned into engineering or project roles will also be considered.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead FEED and detailed engineering work for FSRU projects.

  • Oversee design and interface between FSRU vessels, offshore mooring systems, and subsea pipelines.

  • Review and develop FEED/MFS packages for FSRU vessels with capacity ≥160,000 m³.

  • Ensure technical compliance and integration with client, classification, and regulatory requirements.

  • Provide expertise in FSRU operations, including STS (Ship-to-Ship) transfer, offshore mooring, and regasification systems.

  • Collaborate with project managers, marine specialists, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Requirements

  • 10–15 years of relevant engineering experience in FSRU projects.

  • Proven experience in FEED for FSRU facilities (≥160,000 m³ capacity).

  • Hands-on experience with FSRU or LNG vessel operations will be a strong advantage.

  • Familiarity with classification society requirements and international LNG codes/standards.

  • Strong problem-solving, leadership, and communication skills.

Qualifications

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Offshore Engineering, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).

  • Professional certifications such as Chartered Engineer (CEng), PMP, or equivalent will be considered an advantage.

  • Former Captain or Chief Engineer on LNG/FSRU vessels with relevant engineering transition experience will also be considered.

  • Excellent written and spoken English (knowledge of regional languages is a plus).
