Job Description

We are seeking a Regular Data Engineer to join our team. You will be responsible for managing critical ETL processes to acquire data from various sources, analyze it, and deliver accurate reports to clients on a regular basis. This role requires a commitment to service availability 24/7, including on-call duties, to ensure timely and reliable delivery of reports with high confidence in the accuracy of figures.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Monitoring Checks: Perform regular monitoring of data processes to ensure smooth operation and identify potential issues.
  • Incident Support and Solving: Provide prompt support for incidents, troubleshoot problems, and implement solutions to minimize downtime.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving the production environment and implement changes to enhance efficiency and reliability.
  • Failure Management: Proactively avoid and capture failures in data processing to ensure uninterrupted service.
  • Communication & Documentation: Maintain clear and effective communication with stakeholders and document processes, incidents, and solutions.
  • KPI Monitoring: Monitor key performance indicators, including data set availability percentages, to ensure service quality.
  • Tickets Management: Manage tickets by creating, assigning, following up, and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Knowledge Base Management: Develop and maintain a comprehensive knowledge base to support ongoing operations and incident resolution.

Qualifications

Must-Have Requirements:

  • Azure Data Factory: Strong knowledge of Azure Data Factory, including flat file processing.
  • Power BI: Proficiency in Power BI, including report building, tabular model building with transformations, and permissions management.
  • T-SQL: Solid understanding and experience with T-SQL.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with clients and team members.
  • Managed Service Mindset: Focus on SLA management and prioritization to ensure service delivery meets business requirements.
  • Continuous Improvement: Commitment to identifying and implementing improvements in processes and systems.

Nice-to-Have Requirements:

  • Snowflake: Good knowledge of Snowflake is a plus.
