Job Description

What you will be doing:  Â
Reporting to the Executive Chef, responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:Â Â
- Direct supervision of all stewarding employees, and supervisors as well as training, performance management, scheduling and assigning of daily duties and long term projectsÂ
- Follow departmental policies, procedures, safety and service standardsÂ
- Consistently offering professional, engaging and friendly service. Â
- Ensuring the highest degree of cleanliness and maintenance in accordance with Fairmont Hotels & Resorts standards, policies and procedures. Â
- Work closely with the outlet leaders to maintain adequate levels of china, silver, and glass par stock levelsÂ
- Reports any damaged or not working equipment to maintenance or proper contractor and follows upÂ
- Conduct periodic inventories to ensure par stocks and resource availability are maintained, determining degree of usage and identifying purchase or equipment requirements.Â
- Play an active role in the recruitment, orientation and training of new employeesÂ

Â
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:Â Â
- 4 years proven leadership and supervisory skills in a Food and Beverage operationÂ
- Thorough knowledge of a large Stewarding DepartmentÂ
- Must be computer strong with a knowledge of Excel, word, electronic mailÂ
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management a definite assetÂ
- Must be results oriented, very organized, highly motivated and able to work under pressureÂ
- Must be committed to and have a full understanding of the health and safety practices in the workplaceÂ
- Must be certified in WHMISÂ
