Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Building Engineer for site supervision project in Kuwait.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in overseeing construction projects, ensuring quality, safety, and compliance with local regulations.

• Supervise construction activities on-site, ensuring adherence to project plans, specifications, and schedules
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor work quality, safety standards, and progress
• Coordinate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to resolve technical issues and maintain project timelines
• Review and approve technical submittals, shop drawings, and material samples
• Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including daily reports, progress updates, and technical records
• Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and safety standards
• Identify potential risks or conflicts and propose effective solutions
• Participate in project meetings and provide regular updates to senior management
• Oversee quality control processes and implement corrective actions when necessary
• Collaborate with the project team to optimize construction methods and improve efficiency

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field
• Valid membership with the Kuwait Society Engineers (KSE)
• Minimum 12 years of experience in building engineering and site supervision, preferably on large-scale construction projects
• Proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software and Building Information Modeling (BIM)
• Strong knowledge of construction safety regulations and quality control processes
• Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Kuwait
• Excellent project management and problem-solving skills
• Strong technical report writing and communication abilities
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment and lead on-site personnel
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is a plus
